ક્યાંથી આવી?
મિત્રો,
આ ગઝલના મક્તાથી એવું ના માની લેવુ કે સપના સાઠની થઈ ગઈ..હા…હા..હા..પણ સોળને સાઠ્ની વચે ક્યાંક ..છું અને હા અનુમાન કરી શકો છો!!તમે સાચાં પણ હો!!હા હા હા..અને હા મેં સાભળ્યુ છે..age is matter of mind…તો ચાલો આજની ગઝલ મ્હાણીએ..
આ ઉદાસી ક્યાંથી આવી?
એક ધારી ક્યાંથી આવી?
જિંદગી તો હસતી’તી ને
આ સુનામી ક્યાંથી આવી?
નામ મોટું તેનું જગમાં
આ નનામી ક્યાંથી આવી?
ચાંદ જોયા ને વરસો થ્યા
આ રવાની ક્યાંથી આવી?
મજનુ લયલા તો જૂના થ્યા
આ કહાની ક્યાંથી આવી?
હાર માની જ્યાં મૃત્યુથી
જિંદગાની ક્યાંથી આવી?

What is it that keeps you so young, Banumaji? If you’ve found a formula, can you share it with us?
Who can say Banuma is 60 or thereabout? I don’t, any way. Her songs still abound with the fresh feelings of a damsel of 16!

સપનાજેી, જ્યારે જેીવનમાઁ જે ઘટનાઓ ઘટવાનેી હોય તે ઘટેીને જ રહેી રહે ચ્હે તે કોઈનાય બસનેી વાત નથેી..જેીવન એનુઁ દેીધેલ અને એને જ અર્પવાનુઁ ચાહે હસતાઁ યા રોતાઁ ..તો શુઁ હ્સેીને ના આપેી શકાય? ખરખર એનેી મરજેીને આધેીન રહેીને જેીવવાનુઁ.. જેીન્દગેીનુઁ બેીજુઁનામ જેીન્દાદિલેી ચ્હે.

છંદ ગાલગાગા ગાગાગાગા લીધૉ છે પણ અશુધ્ધી બતાવશો તો સુધારવા પ્રયત્ન કરીશ. શીખવા માટે હું દુખ કફી ના લગાવું..આભારી જ રહૂ..

In the western world they used to say that “Life Begins at Fourty” but now it is said that “Life begins at SIXTY”. I wonder is that the reason they are increasing the pension age from 60 to 65 for women ! Using modern excersizing equipments & Yoga women do look young even at sixty !

In any case Sapnaji looking at your portrait & your Gazals one would never dare to think that you fall into the category of over 45 or 50. I certainly agree with Mahek Tankarvi’s comments that your songs are full of fresh feelings and by reading them many readers feel young at heart eventhough they are over 60.
