જનતા અહીં પળવળ મરે આ દેશ ક્યાં આઝાદ છે?
બાળક સતત જ્યાં ટળવળે છે રોટલીનાં ટૂકડે
સસ્તી છે ઈજ્જત મા બહેનોની અહીં કોડીથી પણ
સરકાર આ કેવી છે?ઓફીસર તો રખડી ખાય છે
ઝૂપડપટીની ના શરમ છે, ના ગરીબીની પડી
ગાંધી,જવાહર કે ભગતસિંહની શહાદતનું શું થયું?

Dear Sapanaben,
I think this is powerful and honest poem on the present India. Many times I wonder about all shahids who gave up their lives for independence of India, what did its leaders and people did during the last sixty six years of Independence? It is a country without any desire to excel in any field. We want full freedom to live our lives without any responsibility to society or country. No one feels ashamed including the leaders in Delhi when a young lady gets gang-raped in Delhi or when crores of rupees disappear in scandals. All so called leaders are brought to power by free election by the people using questionable criteria for their election. It could be caste, money, or religion or provincialism. India will not change until it wants to change itself. India’s rest rooms or public toilets should be used by its leaders to see what they have offered to people of India!

એ રાતમાં ફરતા ડરે આ દેશ ક્યાં આઝાદ છે?
સપનાજી આપે સાચુ યથાર્થ ચિત્રણ કર્યુ છે..હજી સમસ્યાથી ઘેરાયેલ દેશ છે..વ્યક્તિ કુટુંબ સમાજ રાષ્ટ્ર જગત જેટલા ઉન્નત જોઇએ એટ્લા નથી…એને માટે પ્રત્યેક્ માનવમાત્ર જવાબદાર છે
